There will be 12 available of each lamp-one is about five feet tall and one two feet tall-at Colette in Paris on January 26. The idea for the lamps was to capture sun-shine and candlelight in a lamp. There are dimmers that allow you to change both the intensity of the light and the color of the light. The lamps are steel and glass, and in the glass I placed hundreds of salt crystals, which diffuses the light in a very subtle way.

ANYONE YOU WOULD LIKE TO WORK WITH THAT YOU HAVEN’T SO FAR ?

The people I like working with are intolerant, in the sense that they have their own mood, and they are willing to go through any weather for their aesthetic. I work with four technicians, and I can have a bad reputation because I know exactly what I want and my goal has to be respected to the millimeter.

DO YOU CONSIDER LIGHTING DESIGN AN ART FORM ?
It’s not art at all. You have to master technique. The goal at the end of the day is the video, the photos and to sell clothes. If I want to express myself I do an installation.
